You take the role of an Unkindled, a nameless accursed undead unfit to even be cinder. However, for various reasons, all but one of the Lords refuse to fulfill their duty. A bell awakens the Lords of Cinder, individuals who in past ages had successfully linked the fire in the hope that they will do it again and prolong the Age of Fire.
Long after the events of the first two games, the First Flame is once again fading, and as before, the Undead are rising from their graves. The second and final, The Ringed City, was released on March 28, 2017. The first bit of Downloadable Content, titled Ashes of Ariandel was released on October 25, 2016. The game was released in Japan on Mafor PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, with an international release on April 12th. This entry also marks the return of Hidetaka Miyazaki note director of Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne as game director, after an absence from Dark Souls II.
Dark Souls III is the third and final game in the Dark Fantasy Action RPG Dark Souls series, developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
